Leyendecker staged the SEAT S.A. and Volkswagen AG fair booths at the world’s 5th largest automobile show
From June 7-17, 2007, the Motor Show in Barcelona with more than 200 exhibitors and over 250,000 m², delighted an estimated 1,110,000 guests. Leyendecker achieved impressive light-ing of the Seat and VW models.
SEAT had unveiled the Freetrack prototype SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) two months previously at the 77th Geneva Auto Salon and now presented the final series version in Barcelona. The new Altea Freetrack is based on the Altea XL, however it appears more robust with its color-contrasted dampers, the wider fenders and the more solid side skirts.
The series model of the offroad Altea is to be available with two different engines - as a 2-liter TFSI gas direct injection with 200 hp and as a 2.0 TDI with 170 hp.
Volkswagen received the award for the best technical innovation of the year at the Motor Show in Barce-lona for the VW Golf GT Sport which features a TSI engine and a dual clutch transmission.
