| Movimentos 2008 6th Dance Festival in the Autostadt in Wolfsburg A total of 43,500 people interested in culture came to Wolfsburg from April 12 to May 25 to the 6th festival comprising more than 80 events in a wide-ranging program. This year’s topic "Trust" comprised jazz, pop and classical concerts, scenic readings, discus-sions, lectures as well as dance performances and workshops.
These took place in for example the listed power station of the Volkswagen
concern.
This year’s Movimentos program fea-tured six dance ensembles - Grupo
Corpo, Garth Fagan Dance, Wayne McGregor, Béjart Ballet Lausanne, The
Göteborg Ballet und Compagnie Marie Chouinard - with impressive
choreography at this location.
Additional acts included stars such as Joe Cocker, John McLaughlin and the
band Sunrise Avenue.
The lighting of the power station and the shows taking place inside was the responsibility of Leyendecker GmbH who emphasized the features of this location thus supporting the artists’ performances.
