Event technology specialist
This state-registered profession based on vocational training was created in 1998 due to the increased requirements in the culture and media sector and offers a very interesting and varied scope of tasks with good opportunities for the future.
Event technology specialists are responsible for the:
- Technical planning and preparation of events
- Organization of specific work procedures
- Construction and assembly of technical facilities for events
- Configuration, operation and control of projection, lighting and
sound systems - Organization and provision of power supplies
- Assessment and performance of special effects
- Observance of safety directives and regulations
Preconditions for the vocational training. - Minimum age 18
- Driver’s license
- At least junior high school graduation
- Technical understanding
- Manual skills
- Head for heights
- Team compatibility
- Reliability and responsibility
- Flexibility since work at weekends and on public holidays and changing locations are taken for granted
